Job Description
Overview
This position provides high-level administrative, financial, and project support to Economic Development. This position coordinates board agendas with City Council members, County Officials, and City Executive Leadership; manages financial tracking and reporting, monitors and progressively creates compliance reviews of agreements & projects; assist in budget development and monitoring throughout the fiscal year; administers the Dockless Vehicle Program; and performs general administrative functions to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
• Coordinates and oversees all agenda preparation for the Economic Development Division, including items for all TIRZ Boards and Type A and Type B Corporations.
• Assists in preparing, reviewing, and organizing agenda materials. Uploads agenda items and supporting documentation into the Legistar system.
• Assembles and distributes complete board agenda packets.
• Ensures all meetings are properly posted, must engage with stakeholders, City and County elected officials.
• Develops, monitors, and oversees funds for all TIRZ Districts, Type A and Type B Corporations, and the Economic Development Division.
• Tracks monthly and quarterly financial variances and prepares financial reports.
• Monitors performance metrics to ensure financial goals and targets are met.
• Facilitates budget amendments and transfers for TIRZ and Type A/B Corporations.
• Prepares expenditure forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Under guidance from supervisor, assist with project management related to economic development incentive agreements, including TIRZ districts, Type A/B corporations, and Chapter 380 agreements.
• Processes invoices and tracks incentive payments.
• Assists with site visits and maintains project documentation.
• Assists with communication with partner organizations, including the Downtown Management District, Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation, and Visit Corpus Christi.
• Maintains organized records, files, and official documentation for the division.
• Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and official correspondence for internal and external groups.
• Provides administrative support to ensure efficient division operations, to include but not limited to updates of website content, newsletter, and recurring data reports for Economic Development.
• Administers and monitors compliance for the dockless scooter program.
• Tracks and reconciles monthly revenue reports.
• Coordinates with dockless vehicle vendors to ensure contract compliance.
• Coordinates with the Procurement department regarding license agreements and contract renewals.
• Coordinates with Public Works departments on scooter corral locations in the right of way.
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

• Exempt - Full-Time
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
• Four (4) years of experience

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
