Job Description:IT Application Analyst SeniorPurpose:
Using advanced and comprehensive knowledge of business functions and information technology (IT), this position performs duties to develop, implement, configure, support, evaluate and recommend software systems.

Minimum Qualifications:- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the job plus two (2) years experience. Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) specifically with the Esri platform & solutions.
- Experience configuring, administrating, managing, and monitoring ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, FME Server, ArcGIS Online, and the VertiGIS Platform
- Experience and/or knowledge of IT and Security best practices
Notes to Candidate:Position Overview:The City of Austin Enterprise Geospatial Services is excited to announce that we are looking for an IT Application Analyst to join the Geospatial Systems Management team. This team is responsible for the City's GIS infrastructure, licensing, and platform administration.
This position will assist with the maintenance and management of the City of Austin’s enterprise GIS Infrastructure. This individual will support a large ArcGIS Enterprise deployment, the City of Austin’s ArcGIS Online organization, Portal for ArcGIS, FME Server, and the VertiGIS Studio platform. This
includes license and account management for geospatial platforms, monitoring server and database performance, and performing server application upgrades and maintenance.
This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills and will work often with GIS contacts around the City of Austin! The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to customer service and seek out creative ways to improve customer experience and system performance. This position is primarily remote, however, will require onsite presence as operational needs determine. And on-call rotation which can include after-hours support.
Salary Range:$75,930.00 - $96,430.00Critical Employee:You have been designated as a Critical Employee. Critical Employees are considered necessary and vital and support activities that impact City or department operations. This work can be done while at a designated work site or while working at an alternate work location. Critical employees who are able to work at an alternative work location are required to do so. Schedules may be modified and employees may be reassigned to another area during extraordinary situations or emergency conditions to provide essential services.
•If authorized to telework, you may be required to telework on a day you are normally at your designated work site. This time would be coded as telework rather than regular work hours. A department may determine a critical employee is considered essential based on the nature of the extraordinary situation or emergency condition. If a critical employee is asked to serve in an essential role, they would then be designated as an essential employee, and the compensation for an essential employee as described above would take effect.
