The City Attorney's Office provides legal advice and services to the City Council, staff, boards, and commissions, and is seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional character to join the team.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:
    Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
    • Equivalent to the completion of a Juris Doctorate from a college or university accredited by the American Bar Association or the California Bar Association.
    • One (1) year of professional legal experience as an attorney engaged in the practice of law.

    Licenses and Certifications:
    • Possession of a valid Membership in the State Bar of California must be maintained throughout employment.
    • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record must be maintained throughout employment.
