    Matheny is a special hospital and School for children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. Mathenys mission is to provide exceptional care and an optimal quality of life for children and adults with special needs and medically complex developmental disabilities.

    Qualified candidates who are hired for Full Time employment will receive a Signing Bonus of $1500.00. ($750.00 payable after completion of six months of continuous employment and the remaining $750.00 after completion of twelve months of continuous employment).

    We are currently looking for Full Time Paraprofessionals.Duties include:

    Maintains a safe and secure school environment for the students.

    Follows lesson plans both with the teacher and independently.

    Acts as an instructional resource and support.

    Performs both instructional and non-instructional duties as dictated by the IEP and directed by the assigned teacher, school nurse, principal or designee.

    Attends the IEP with the student when able.

    Provides ADL ( Activities of daily living) such as ; supporting toileting, feeding, swimming, and other duties as assigned in order to support the overall program objectives of each student.

    Assists classroom teacher in developing objectives to meet the needs of the students as a process toward achievement of goals in an inter-disciplinary approach.

    Assists teacher in maintaining individual student data collection on each student in relation to goals or other important observations; provides information to classroom teacher to assist in writing program plans.

    Maintains knowledge of progress and specific concerns/problems of individual students.

    Actively engages with students in all assigned educational activities, under direct supervision of the teacher.

    Takes over the legal and instructional responsibilities when the teacher leaves the room or when assigned.

    The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

    The hourly rate for this position is $20.28 - $22.79 per hour.
