Job Title: Camp Wakonda Lead Counselor Pay Grade: 4
FLSA Status: Full-time-Non-Exempt-Seasonal Pay Range: $13.34-$16.67-$20.01
Reports to: School Age Childcare and Camp Director Revision Date: 3.10.2026
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Builds members and the community's understanding of the YMCA's cause and impact.
This position provides direct supervision to a group of children and leadership/supervision to assistant staff in a seasonal day camp setting. Provides positive engagement with youth in a safe, nurturing environment with diversity, equity, and inclusion lens. Provides quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
