    Overview: LHH is partnering with a law firm to identify a Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support a high-volume litigation practice. This role provides essential support to attorneys managing litigated workers' compensation matters and plays a key role in keeping cases moving efficiently through all phases of the process.

    This opportunity is well-suited for a paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong attention to detail, and is comfortable handling multiple priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and capable of producing accurate, polished work while supporting attorneys in a deadline-driven practice.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide litigation support to attorneys handling workers' compensation matters
    • Summarize legal documents, discovery materials, depositions, hearings, and medical records
    • Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents for attorney review
    • Perform records research and legal research as needed
    • Coordinate and schedule mediations, depositions, hearings, and related proceedings
    • Assist with trial, hearing, and meeting preparation
    • Prepare reports and maintain organized electronic case files
    • Review legal forms and documents for accuracy and completeness
    • Interview witnesses and document findings when required
    • Accurately record time for client billing
    • Manage competing deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
    Qualifications:
    • Paralegal certificate or a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a litigation setting
    • Prior workers' compensation or insurance defense experience required
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
    • Strong working knowledge of legal terminology and litigation procedures
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, internet research tools, and Adobe
    • Experience with electronic document management systems
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proofreading ability
    • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines
    Details:
    • Employment Type: Direct Hire
    • Location: Charlotte, NC (Fully On-site)
    • Compensation: $55,000-75,000
    • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; long-term and short-term disability; educational assistance, 401(k), and PTO
