    Litigation Paralegal (defense) - Illinois (Hybrid)

    Salary: $70,000-$75,000
    Job Type: Full-Time Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)

    About the Role

    In this position, you will provide vital support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters. You will be involved in each phase of the litigation lifecycle-from initial pleadings to trial preparation-while ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely execution of critical tasks.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage administrative litigation duties including maintaining calendars, scheduling hearings and depositions, managing case files, and coordinating logistics.
    • Maintain and organize pleadings, discovery indexes, exhibits, evidence, briefs, and case appendices.
    • Draft subpoenas and assist with discovery processes.
    • Track, gather, and organize relevant documents and information from internal and external sources.
    • Serve as a liaison between legal teams, clients, and third parties.
    • Assist attorneys during trial preparation and attend trial as needed.
    Required Qualifications
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal (experience with federal litigation, municipal defense, or insurance defense is a plus but not required).
    • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures including motions, discovery, evidence, trial preparation, and court filing requirements.
    • Demonstrated experience preparing subpoenas, managing discovery, and supporting trial work.
    • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal databases.
    • Paralegal associate degree or relevant certification preferred (not required).
    Schedule
    • Monday-Friday (standard business hours)
    • Hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days onsite, remainder remote)
    Compensation & Benefits
    • Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000 annually
    • Benefits: A package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)
    Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
