While most of the assistance we give to the community is medical in nature, the smallest part of what we do involves truly time-critical life-threatening emergencies. Yet everything we do is about service: service to our patients, their families and loved ones; service to our community; and service to the people who make up Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.
Under the direction of the EMS Recruitment Program Manager the Marketing Representative B will be tasked with developing and implementing long - range marketing campaigns for the EMS Recruiting Division. This person will be responsible for creating and managing digital content on all social media platforms associated with Austin-Travis County EMS and will engage with stakeholders to promote brand awareness and generate top-talent interest in ATCEMS. When needed, Marketing Representative B will assist the EMS Recruitment Program Manager during the EMS Academy hiring process.
Job Description:Marketing Representative B - EMSPurpose: Serve as advisor to customers and potential customers regarding the resolution of issues that affect the sale, installation, and utilization of the organization's products and/or services. Propose changes in products and/or services that may result in cost reductions and savings, as well as increased customer participation.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Develops and maintains budget for projects.
- Develops and evaluates long-range market planning/strategies.
- Works with neighborhood associations, community leaders, political action groups, and other interested groups with on-going projects.
- Uses graphic design principles to support marketing communication campaigns.
- Conducts market research and needs assessment surveys and maintains research and client databases. Research requests for information.
- Initiates, designs, and manages the development of promotional campaigns. Acts as representative for programs. Manages and plans projects/accounts. Conducts presentations, tours, and public education programs. Evaluates effectiveness of programs. Provides marketing consultation to clients.
- Works with outside vendors (media buying, print buying, etc.). Develops contracts, surveys, documentation, and forms.
- Maintains Web content; and develops digital advertising, promotional campaigns, and strategies.
- Writes, edits, and follows up on news releases. Coordinates, writes, and edits internal and external information/data. Develops and generates reports. Provides and develops graphic designs.
- Bears responsibility for larger individual projects or acts as an account representative for client programs. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance. or a related field, plus four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Experience may substitute for the education up to the maximum of four (4) years.
Licenses and Certifications Required: None.
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong digital literacy and technical skills for marketing campaign content and graphic designs.
- Experience conducting market research and analyzing data to measure effectiveness, identify trends and discover new market opportunities and target audiences.
- Experience revamping and creating new social media outlets to enhance ACTEMS recruitment platforms.
- Experience with radio, digital, streaming audio and/or television advertisement.
- Experience with project management.
- Strong interpersonal skills to enhance recruitment and marketing efforts.
