Description: JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The
Assessor Information Specialist performs administrative tasks in support of the department and division. Performs data entry and necessary technical and clerical duties. Utilizes software programs, various word processing and file maintenance programs to maintain pertinent records. Receives inquiries and provides department related information and responds to internal and external stakeholders. Analyzes customer issues and enlists appropriate assistance . Prepares reports as directed.
SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, standard position that operates on a four-day work week (Monday-Thursday) from 7:15A-5:15P. This position requires in-office work.
COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $ 1 9 .56 - $ 23 .00 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Performs administrative tasks in support of the department and division, including data entry. This requires vast knowledge of departmental operations and regulations.
- Creates and maintains documents and data by preparing forms and reports using word processing and spreadsheet programs. Compose and send correspondence.
- Verifies documents and data for accuracy. Monitors the workflow of files and retrieves documents. Assist customers in using property maps and related information. Assist stakeholders with our public access page and parcel maps.
- Receives inquiries and provides department related information and responds to internal and external stakeholders. Analyzes customer issues and provides appropriate assistance . Refers callers to other departments.
- Facilitates communication by coordinating clear dialogue between department and division staff. Maintains positive relationships with staff members. Maintains positive public image for department and division. Receives mail, documents, faxes, and packages.
- Trains staff members. Communicates procedures to other team members. Ensures completion of tasks within deadlines and in accordance with goals and statutory guidelines.
- Performs phone-related duties, including answering calls, directing inquiries, and providing information to customers or clients as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 1 year of work-related experience.
Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificate
*Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities :
- Experience in Assessor’s office
- Strong customer service skills I ncl uding in -per son , pho ne and email
- Experience entering and tracking data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and prioritization skills
