    BA 617: Leadership and Business Ethics
    • Position: Instructional Faculty, Summer Session - State Support
    • Semester: Summer 2026
    • Day/Time: Wednesdays, from 7:00 - 9:45 p.m. and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

    The MBA Program at California State University San Marcos seeks a part time lecturer for Summer 2026 to teach BA 617: Leadership and Business Ethics.

    Course Description:

    The course focuses on aspects of leader-follower interaction including ethical decision-making, effective use of power, politics, and influence. It also covers understanding what motivates followers both individually and in teams and managing diversity and business ethics.

    Minimum qualifications:
    • A Master of Business Administration or a master's degree in a related discipline
    • Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

    Preferred qualifications:
    • A doctorate or equivalent
    • Previous teaching experience
    • Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable, service.

    Salary commensurate with degree level and experience
    • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,000 - $2,650 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)
    • CSU Classification Salary Range: $1,101 - $6,084 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)

    Reduced enrollment compensation is applicable to summer term courses.
