Airport Maintenance Worker . This position provides you the opportunity to work for a county that thrives on working collaboratively and overcoming challenges. The
Airport Maintenance Worker ( landscaper) is re sponsible for performing a variety of Landside operations by maintaining and repairing the grounds . The ideal candidate manages a range of responsibilities that include: Mowing, trimming, tree trimming, bush trimming, irrigation repair including sprinklers, sprinkler clocks and more. This position also includes operating light and heavy equipment and assisting in application of herbicides and pesticides.
About The Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport and Jefferson County: Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA) is owned and operated as a division of Jefferson County Government. The Airport is located in the northeast corner of the County and is strategically situated between Denver and Boulder on U.S. Highway 36 and Colorado 128. RMMA is the 4th busiest airport in Colorado and is an important component of the national air transportation system and the Denver metropolitan area. The Airport is designated as a reliever for Denver International Airport and provides a home to many corporate aviation facilities, commercial aviation businesses, charter companies, general aviation tenants and hobbyists.
SCHEDULE: Please note this is not a remote work position. This position requires on-site work to be performed and will work a 4-day work week, Tuesday - Friday, approximately 29 hours per week.
COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $ 21 -$25 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experie nce and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Maintaining RMMA-owned grounds through general maintenance practices and repair.
- Applying herbicide and pesticides when needed for weed and pest control
- Irrigation repairs and maintenance.
- Ensuring Landscape equipment is functioning properly.
- Responding to on-call and emergency situations in an airport environment.
- Possibly assisting with maintenance and repair of buildings and all related mechanical and structural components such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Assisting in janitorial duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities :
- Experience in Landscape Maintenance
- Basic knowledge of Airport operations
- Landscape Maintenance experience
