    Job Description

    As a Security Officer Armed Area Patrol in Watertown, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.     Position Type: Full Time

    Pay Rate: $25.88 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 06:00 PMWed08:00 AM - 06:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 06:00 PM

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
    • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity through appropriate channels.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
    • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and support restricted area control in accordance with post orders.
    • Carry authorized armed post equipment while on duty and follow all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal guidelines related to the assignment.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
