Examples of DutiesIN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL: - Provide advanced administrative and customer service support to the Human Resources Department, including front office operations, data entry, and records management.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries, applying sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
- Coordinate meetings and HR events, including logistics and scheduling.
- Support employee engagement and recognition programs that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure compliance with records retention requirements.
- Compile, track, and respond to salary surveys, benchmarking requests, and employment verification inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide fiscal and administrative support, including accounts payable processing, reconciliation of invoices and procurement card transactions, and assisting with budget tracking and preparation.
- Utilize HRIS systems (e.g. Paycom) to support reporting, audits, and HR processes.
- Tracks and coordinates service awards and assist with onboarding and exit processes.
Typical QualificationREQUIREMENTS: - Associate degree and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative and fiscal experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent with six (6) years of progressively responsible administration and fiscal experience.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License and ability to pass a pre-employment background including driving record.
- Ability to type/key 60 words per minute.
- Working knowledge or policies and procedures; payroll and personnel administrative procedures and municipal methods, functions and services.
COMPENSATION: The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.
