    Job Description

    As a Security Officer - Armed Downtown Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.     Position Type: Part Time

    Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies within a financial institution location.
    • Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, company policies, and local regulations; complete required checks and documentation.
    • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
    • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
    • Control access to restricted areas, monitor cameras and alarm panels when assigned, and complete incident reports and daily activity logs with clear, timely details.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
    • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
    • Be 21+ years of age.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
