    Job Description

    As a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location where you will conduct armed patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and remain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents.     Position Type: Full Time

    Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeMon05:45 AM - 06:00 PMTue05:45 AM - 06:00 PMWed05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
    • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
    • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
    • Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or authorized entry in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.
    • Support restricted-area operations by maintaining a visible presence, following use-of-force and equipment guidelines, and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector personnel during routine and emergency situations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
    • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
