    Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

    As a Security Officer - Medical Facility - Flex in Frankfort, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

    Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

    How This Role Works:

    • Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
    • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

    This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
    • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
    • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
    • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access-related procedures and directing individuals according to site protocols.
    • Support hospital and clinic operations by communicating professionally with staff and visitors, helping with de-escalation when appropriate, and following Allied Universal post orders and/or incident reporting procedures.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
    • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
    • Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
    • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include exposure to the morgue.
    • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Must be able to restrain individuals, as required in a hospital environment.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
