Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support clients primarily across the Defense and Energy sectors. This entry-level to early-career role is ideal for candidates with 0-3 years of experience who are passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive mission-critical decision-making.
In this position, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to design and deliver analytical products-including dashboards, reports, and data models-that support operational, strategic, and policy objectives across complex commercial, state, and federal environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and recurring reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms)
• Translate business and mission requirements into scalable data models and analytical solutions
• Support KPI development, performance metric tracking, and operational reporting
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to inform leadership decision making
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and governance
• Prepare executive-level briefings and written analytical summaries
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
• Support compliance with federal data security and information assurance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence
• Experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract and clearance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal agencies (especially DoD or DOE)
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and ETL processes
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis
• Knowledge of federal performance frameworks or compliance environments
• Exposure to cloud data environments (Azure, AWS GovCloud, etc.)
• Understanding of cybersecurity or energy-sector data environments
