    Job Description

    As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.     Position Type: Full Time

    Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeMon05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSat05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSun05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions within a government corrections location.
    • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
    • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
    • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and/or control movement of people, vehicles, and property in accordance with post orders and site-specific requirements.
    • Support emergency and incident response by communicating with supervisors, public agency contacts, and/or first responders, while following established protocols for the location.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
    • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
