    Family Law Legal Assistant

    Position: Family Law Legal Assistant Full-Time Direct Hire
    Location: Chicago, IL
    Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000, commensurate with experience

    Overview

    LHH is partnering with agrowing family law firm in Chicago to identify a detail-oriented and compassionate Family Law Legal Assistant. This position supports attorneys in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is well suited for someone who is highly organized, deadline-driven, and professional when communicating with clients during sensitive family law matters.

    Responsibilities
    • Provide daily administrative and legal support to family law attorneys
    • Draft, revise, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents
    • Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and case files
    • Complete Cook County e-filings via Odyssey eFileIL, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local court rules
    • Track filings, court notices, and confirmations
    • Communicate with clients in a professional, courteous, and discreet manner
    • Prepare and organize documents for hearings, mediations, and trials
    • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
    • Assist with billing, time entry, and general office support as needed
    Qualifications
    • 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in family law
    • Working knowledge of Cook County court procedures and e-filing (Odyssey eFileIL)
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
