What you'll do
- Performs field survey data collection and provide office support work as needed to support capital projects and investigations, ensuring accurate and reliable survey data.
- Assists with the implementation and completion of major survey assignments, often managing multiple projects simultaneously while following oral and written instructions.
- Supports the collection, processing, production, and distribution of survey data and deliverables used for preliminary design efforts, City projects, and acquisitions.
- Assists with creating record drawings and as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness for project documentation.
- Assists with staking right-of-way boundaries, easements, property lines, grading, and determining the extent of right-of-way or easement encroachments in support of capital projects.
- Assists with legal descriptions, exhibits, research of documents, technical assistance to internal and external customers, coordination with utilities, departments, and agencies, respond to correspondence and calls, and perform other duties as assigned.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
