    General Services Department, Information Technology Division
    Pay Range: $5,910-$9,010 per month
    Work Location: 1111 Locust St.
    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Telework schedule available after 6-month probationary period completed

    Responsibilities

    What you'll do
    • Lead the cleanup and modernization of SharePoint sites by removing unused sites and updating legacy or classic implementations to improve usability, performance, and maintainability.
    • Build new SharePoint sites and enhance existing ones to meet current City standards and business needs, ensuring solutions are consistent and scalable.
    • Establish, document, and maintain SharePoint standards, best practices, and governance to ensure long-term health and consistency across the environment.
    • Own and execute the SharePoint site health initiative by monitoring organization, performance, and usability, and addressing issues before they impact users.
    • Design, build, and support workflows using Power Automate and develop or support Power BI reports and dashboards to improve business processes and visibility.
    • Serve as the primary SharePoint subject matter expert by collaborating with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, support integrations, and deliver SharePoint initiatives on schedule.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRES
    • An accredited Bachelor's degree and 4 years of technology experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and technology experience.

    Preference
    • 5+ years of experience administering and supporting SharePoint environments, working knowledge of Power Automate for workflow and process automation, experience supporting or developing Power BI reports and dashboards, familiarity with governance models for large or growing SharePoint environments, experience collaborating with software developers or supporting application integrations, or experience leading SharePoint modernization or cleanup initiatives.

    Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

    The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
    For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
    Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

    If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
