    Faculty Employment Opportunity

    POSITION:

    Open Rank Faculty of Nursing (12-Month): We are pleased to invite applications for a Tenure Track position within the School of Nursing at the Stockton campus. Upon hire, this position will serve as Program Director for our Accelerated Second Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASBSN) program. The ASBSN Program Director provides visionary leadership, academic oversight, and administrative management for a fast-paced, rigorous pre-licensure nursing program designed for students who hold a prior bachelor’s degree.

    The Program Director ensures program excellence through curriculum leadership, faculty development, accreditation compliance, student success initiatives, clinical partnership oversight, and alignment with department, institutional, and regulatory standards.

    The Program Director reports directly to the School of Nursing Director and works collaboratively with program coordinators, faculty, clinical partners, and university leadership to advance the mission and strategic priorities of the School of Nursing.

    This position includes faculty responsibilities consistent for a tenure track position including teaching, scholarship, and service.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Earned masters degree in Nursing.
    • Current unencumbered RN license in California.
    • Eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor per institutional criteria.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing education.
    • Experience teaching in a pre-licensure nursing program.
    • Demonstrated experience with curriculum development and program evaluation.
    • Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards (CCNE, Board of Nursing).
    • Evidence of scholarship appropriate to associate professor rank.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, or EdD) in Nursing.
    Prior experience with expansion of a nursing program by increasing annual cohort size, including enrollment planning, faculty workload reallocation, clinical partnership development, resource scaling, and regulatory approval to support sustainable program growth.
    Prior academic leadership experience including supervising and evaluating (e.g., program coordinator, assistant director, department chair).
    Experience with accelerated or second-degree nursing programs.
    Experience with simulation-based education.
    Record of successful accreditation participation.
    Grant writing or funded research experience.

    COMPENSATION:

    Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated hiring range is $7,331 - $11,000 per month for Assistant Professor (12 monthly payments per academic year). As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
