    Salary Range $16.00 Hourly

    Description

    Beyond Security (Security Alliance) is seeking highly skilled and qualified Unarmed Security Officers to provide professional security services at the Curaleaf dispensary in Mount Dora. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and company assets while fostering a secure and welcoming environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to the facility.
    • Patrolling: Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to identify potential security risks and irregularities.
    • Incident Response: Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, and other incidents.
    • Customer Interaction: Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with staff, clients, and visitors.
    • Monitoring Systems: Operate surveillance systems and alarm equipment to ensure site security.
    • Compliance Enforcement: Enforce compliance with company policies and state laws.
    • Report Writing: Document daily activity, incidents, and any unusual occurrences with accuracy and detail.
    • Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with dispensary staff, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary.
    Qualifications

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Valid Florida Class "D" Security License.
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in security, preferably at a warehouse, dispensary, or high-value facility.
    • Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations.
    • CPR/First Aid certification.
    • Training in conflict resolution or de-escalation techniques.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • High level of situational awareness and attention to detail.
    • Calm and effective under pressure.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
    • Dependable, with a strong work ethic.

    Work Environment:

    • Duties involve indoor and outdoor patrols, sometimes in adverse weather.
    • Frequent standing, walking, and light physical activity are required.
