    divh2TMC Technician 3/h2pThe TMC Technician 3 is an advanced-level operator responsible for ensuring safe and efficient traffic movement across Tennessee roadways. The role includes monitoring roadways, detecting incidents, coordinating response efforts, and operating traffic management systems. This position requires minimal supervision and strong technical, communication, and incident management skills./ppKey responsibilities include:/pulliOperate traffic management systems to detect, confirm, and manage roadway incidents and congestion./liliMonitor roadways using surveillance cameras, detection systems, and other traffic devices./liliVerify accuracy of information displayed on Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and 511 traveler information systems./liliEnter incident information into traffic software for real-time updates./liliMaintain knowledge of roadway layouts, traffic devices, and incident management procedures./liliDispatch and support Service Patrol units; assist with calls and coordination./liliCollaborate with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, local law enforcement, fire/rescue, and regional DOT partners during incidents./liliFollow Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG) for detecting, dispatching, monitoring, and documenting roadway incidents./liliMaintain advanced knowledge of traffic equipment, computers, and software systems./liliPerform additional assigned duties to support traffic management operations./li/ulpQualifications:/pulli2+ years as a TMC Technician or equivalent transportation/traffic operations experience./liliDispatch or call center experience strongly preferred./liliProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and general computer/database operations./liliStrong typing and data entry skills./liliAbility to use multi-line phone systems, email, and other communication tools./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliStrong customer service and incident management experience./liliAbility to work independently with minimal supervision./liliCandidate must be local to Nashville, TN./li/ul/div
