    Watch Officer (Battle Captain) Trainer
    Location: Fort Meade, MD
    Clearance Required: Active Secret (must be held prior to start)
    We are seeking an experienced Watch Officer (Battle Captain) Trainer to support network operations training and workforce readiness initiatives at a major DoD cyber command location. This role focuses on delivering high‑impact training to Watch Officers and cyber personnel while supporting enterprise‑level readiness and mission assurance.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a cyber or network operations professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and shaping operational readiness in a mission‑critical environment. What You'll Do Deliver instructor‑led and blended network operations training to Watch Officers and cyber personnel.
    Support course design, development, and continuous curriculum improvement aligned to mission needs.
    Plan and execute training exercises, including MSEL development and scenario synchronization.
    Integrate real‑world adversary tactics and techniques into training events and exercises.
    Develop After Action Reports (AARs) and incorporate lessons learned into training updates.
    Analyze training performance, certification standards, and readiness metrics.
    Maintain training records, databases, and certification tracking systems.
    Use JTIMS and JLLIS to manage training objectives and lessons learned.
    Coordinate training logistics, schedules, and stakeholder engagement.
    Support IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) documentation and training briefings.
    Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure training aligns with operational requirements.
    Provide updates and recommendations to senior leadership on training effectiveness. Required Qualifications Active Secret security clearance (required prior to start).
    Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience
    (or Master's degree with 6–10 years).
    Experience in network operations, cyber operations, or workforce training.
    Demonstrated experience delivering technical training and supporting course development.
    Experience planning and executing training exercises or events.
    Strong understanding of network operations management and training frameworks.
    Experience tracking training metrics and workforce readiness.
    Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders. Nice to Have Active Top Secret / SCI clearance.
    Experience supporting DISA, DoD Cyber, or CSSP environments.
    Familiarity with JTIMS and JLLIS.
    Knowledge of adversary TTPs and their integration into training scenarios.
    Experience with Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).
    Instructional design certification or formal adult learning training.
    Experience supporting joint or interagency exercises.
    Familiarity with LMS platforms or virtual training environments.
    Understanding of ITSCM processes and documentation. Why This Role? Direct impact on cyber mission readiness.
