We are looking for a Junior Program Analyst to support our customer at our Washington, DC, office to provide technical and analytical support within multiple disciplines including system infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering, and design. The Junior Program Analyst will analyze and evaluate major system project parameters and requirements. As a member of the Warfare Systems Certification Support Team, provide support to execute the Naval Warfare Systems Certification Policy and support the development and deployment of warfare systems throughout the life cycle U.S. Navy Surface Ships. This includes providing support for the assessment of warfare systems in US Navy Surface Ships through Warfare Systems Certification Events in order to provide COMUSFLTFORCOM and COMPACFLT with Warfare Systems Certification Plans, early assessments of risk and characterization of maturity and readiness to support Risk Assessments for ships in new construction after sail-away and post shakedown availabilities and certification decisions to support the subject ship(s) throughout deployment. Certification Analysts will do the following:
• Develop Meeting Agendas and Reports;
• Develop Metrics Briefings and Item Tracking Reports;
• Develop Data-Calls in preparation for WSCERT Events;
• Develop of monthly Panel Briefings, Naval Messages, Executive Summary Briefings and Memorandum for the Record;
• Provide analytical support in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of complex, inter-linked systems. Required skills and experience:
• Associates/Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or related technical field; or three (3) or more years of experience/knowledge/certifications of Navy Warfare and Combat Systems engineering
• Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance
• Highly motivated individual capable of working independently and/or in teams with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize, information from several different sources.
• Understanding of Navy Ships/Strike Group Combat and Warfare Systems and/or understanding of Department of Defense Preferred skills and experience:
• Experience with NAVSEA is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) • Strong written and verbal communication skills
