    Position Summary: Intelligence Analyst III

    Location: National Capital Region

    Work Posture: On-Site (Telework on a situational/ad-hoc basis)

    Travel: Occasional

    Deployment: No

    Drug screening: Yes

    Security Clearance: Citizenship: TS/SCI Must be a U.S. Citizen

    Education: Bachelor's Degree

    Required Experience: Seven (7) years of extensive directly relevant experience specializing in counterintelligence operations and investigations within the Department of Defense or similar Federal Government agencies with comparable mission sets. Seven (7) years' experience with ACIC, OSI, or NCIS; or (or, as a special agent or investigator) working with USMC CID while under the auspices of NCIS. Applicable CI or national security investigations with Army CID. One (1) year of experience developing briefing materials and presenting to peers and senior leadership in areas including CI policy, strategy, oversight functions, capability gaps. One (1) year experience supporting senior DoD or Federal Agency officials as a staff and/or action officer. Experience conducting research and analysis of DoD or Federal Agency policy/guidance documents and legal decisions

    Salary: Commensurate with experience

    Responsibilities: SANCORP is seeking an Intelligence Analyst III to support Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement & Security (CL&S) Office within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) and its directorates. The following are examples of responsibilities:

    • Provide daily expert guidance and support to CI2 Directorate seniors and staff on DoD CI policy development, strategic planning, mission management, functional integration, and internal Directorate operations.
    • Develop, revise, and staff CI policy issuances for the informal, formal and signature processes.
    • Ensure comments are properly adjudicated and promulgated within the provision of the Office of the Director, Administration and Management (ODA&M) guidelines and timeliness standards for DoD Policy directives and instructions.
    • Work with senior CI2 Directorate personnel to perform CI policy oversight inspections for all DoD components with an organic CI capability and prepares written reports on the results of these inspections. Identifies CI best practices to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the DoD CI enterprise, and monitors components efforts to address identified deficiencies to become policy compliant.
    • Conduct research and draft responses to questions related to DoD CI issues for senior DoD officials and other DoD stakeholders.
    • Prepare and coordinate staff actions, information papers and official memorandums for distribution within DoD and the Intelligence Community.
