    Mid-Level Technical Editor SDA Solutions
    Salary: $80,000 annually
    Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM SDA Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Technical Editor with advanced writing and editing capabilities to support the development of technical documentation across IT and cybersecurity programs. This position requires an individual who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable collaborating with development teams while also owning documentation efforts with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Apply advanced writing and editing skills to develop and refine technical documents, including user documentation, manuals, and procedural guides. Utilize multiple documentation tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles to ensure consistency and quality. Design and deliver developer-oriented documentation while working directly with software and development teams. Review usage and effectiveness of knowledge management systems and update existing knowledge base articles as needed. Create job aids and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident and problem resolution. Develop and maintain a detailed repository of reference materials, including research documentation, usability test results, and design specifications. Ensure documentation aligns with IT standards, compliance requirements, and organizational objectives. Support documentation efforts within Risk Management Framework (RMF) environments. Manage workload independently and maintain accuracy in a structured, compliance-driven setting. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution. 5+ years of experience in technical writing, editing, or documentation roles within IT or related environments. Advanced writing and editing skills for technical documentation. Experience using multiple documentation tools and developing template-based outputs. Thorough understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and key IT terminology. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain structured documentation libraries. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting cybersecurity environments. Familiarity with knowledge management systems. Experience working directly with development teams to produce technical documentation. Experience supporting federal or government contracts. Active security clearance (if applicable to contract). Background Check Requirement Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment background investigation. This may include verification of education, past employment, and any additional checks required by the contract or applicable federal regulations.
