Project Details: Supports activities to plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies. Designs systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements. Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems. Supports the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities. Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down. Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results. Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems. Works under general supervision. Day to Day: • Installing and maintaining Flight Simulation equipment consisting of computers, monitors, audio systems, visual systems, crew stations and rack equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time
• Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
• Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
• Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
• Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and tear-down
• Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems
• Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs
• Coaches and trains others
• Works under general direction
Required Experience: • Minimum of 3+ year experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards
• Minimum of 3+ year working in Engineering Lab Environment or comparable Military experience.
• Minimum of 3+ year experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics Preferred Skills: • Minimum of 3+ year experience working with Flight Simulation equipment
• Minimum of 3+ year experience maintaining computer hardware
• Experience with Mil-Spec connector termination
• Experience with Mil-Spec Fiber Optic termination and splicing
Experience with wire crimping, splicing, cutting, soldering
• An Active US Secret Clearance
• Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time
