Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to patrol the premises within the building and on the campus to detect suspicious activity, assist employees, and ensure the safety of occupants. Additionally, monitor assigned facility cameras.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Protect property and lives by patrolling the area
  2. Monitor entrances and exits of building
  3. Regulate and monitor building systems; respond to alarms or calls of distress
  4. In conjunction with legal and compliance investigate thefts and file police reports as needed
  5. Report any infractions or violations to the Administrator on Call
  6. Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working
  7. Review video surveillance in conjunction with Hospital Administrator and or senior leadership as needed
  8. Build relationships with the local law enforcement and state police departments
  9. Monthly touch point with Safety Director
Other Job Functions
  • Attend all staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Travel to all market sites as needed
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a security officer or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education with comparable knowledge, skills and abilities
  • De-escalation training preferred
  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
