    Position Overview

    Threats Analyst and Command Briefer serves as a senior, air-focused threat analyst, providing intelligence on global kinetic and non-kinetic threats to support AFSOC leadership and operational units. The analyst maintains constant situational awareness of the global security environment, focusing on current and emerging threats relevant to special operations.

    Essential Job Functions
    • Data Collection: Gather information from various sources, including open-source data, geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, human intelligence, and other types of classified information/documents.
    • Data Analysis: Process and analyze large volumes of data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
    • Threat Assessment: Evaluate the credibility of sources and the reliability of data to provide accurate threat assessments.
    • Intelligence Reporting: Create detailed reports summarizing findings and assessments, often disseminated to decision-makers and stakeholders.
    • Collaboration: Work with different service components, combatant commands, intelligence community, and other stakeholders to collect and interpret data, and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
    • Briefings and Presentations: Prepare and present executive-level briefings, updates, and summaries to senior leaders, ensuring intelligence information/estimates are clearly defined and documented.
    • Meeting Coordination: Plan and facilitate intelligence-focused meetings and working groups, providing after-action reports.
    • Intelligence Fusion and IPOE: Develop comprehensive Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE) by integrating multiple intelligence sources. Leverages SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, HUMINT, Geopolitical Intelligence, and socio-cultural analysis (Human Domain) to support AFSOC missions.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as intelligence studies or related discipline.
    • Top Secret Clearance.
    • Completion of the Air Force Special Operations Forces (AFSOF) Intelligence Formal Training Unit (IFTU).
    • 5 years of recent Airborne intelligence analysis experience.
    • 5 years of intelligence support to AFSOF aviation and/or special tactics experience.
    • Deliver concise, logical briefings tailored to present air-focused threat analysis to executive-level audiences.
