    Dispatcher

    PTG Logistics is a trusted, asset-based carrier that's been growing for over 25 years. With offices and operations nationwide, we service a wide range of industriesfrom steel and building supplies to bread and ice creamusing great drivers and top-notch equipment. Our team is rapidly expanding, and we're looking for a skilled dispatcher to join our Flower Mound, TX location.

    As a dispatcher, you will take charge of daily operations, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, customers, and employees. Your role is essential in ensuring seamless delivery operations, overseeing owner-operators, and managing loading, dispatch, and client relations.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate accurate and efficient loading/unloading of vehicles for the delivery of retail home products.
    • Ensure merchandise is properly received, staged, and stored.
    • Track key performance indicators to maintain an efficient operation.
    • Monitor weekly financial reports and settlements to ensure contractor goals are met.
    • Conduct ride-alongs and evaluate contractors for skill development opportunities.
    • Handle claims and ensure appropriate charges are assigned.
    • Recruit independent owner operators and assist in building their teams.
    • Oversee the maintenance of delivery/service vehicles as scheduled.
    • Lead delivery teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
    • Review and optimize scheduling and routing procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements.
    • Set performance goals and monitor progress.
    • Train and coach the assistant manager and all staff.
    • Foster positive relationships with HR and client representatives.
    What We're Looking For:
    • Experience: High school diploma or 3+ years of dispatching experience in logistics/transportation.
    • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong verbal and written communication.
    • License: Valid driver's license.
    • Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred.
