  • Summary

    Position Summary:
    The QC Tech continuously monitors products and materials for compliance to ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOTs standards.

    Essential Job Functions/Duties:

    • Successfully plan and execute product and material testing at proper intervals
    • Ensure all products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specs
    • Perform daily tests to ensure quality in product (cylinder breaks, pre-pour / post-pour, wire check, etc.)
    • Solve basic technical and production problems
    • Identify and resolve quality control issues
    • Conduct and document Pre and Post Pour Inspections of product
    • Test and document fresh and hardened concrete in accordance with industry standard
    • Communicate and work with plant personnel to resolve quality issues
    • Maintain and document calibration and maintenance of QC testing equipment
    • Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment
    • Maintain all plant and personal certifications thru ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOT's
    • Interact with government and industry inspectors as needed
    Required Qualifications:
    • Must have and maintain ACI Field Tech and ACI Strength Tech certifications
    • Must acquire and maintain multiple state DOT certifications
    • Forklift certified
    • Crane Certified
    Required Qualifications:
    • Ability to multitask
    • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
    • Ability to keep and maintain all required documentation
    • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
