    Job Summary

    The Administrative Support Coordinator provides administrative and operational coordination for the Disability Resource Center and comprehensive support to the Director of the DRC. Reporting directly to the DRC Director, the Administrative Support Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, coordination, and administration of the department. The position provides broad administrative support in areas including departmental operations, budget management, purchasing, personnel support, communications, and the implementation of policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include supervising student assistants and overseeing note-taking and virtual attendance accommodations to ensure effective support services for students.

    Department Summary

    The Disability Resource Center (DRC) implements federal and state laws by providing support services and academic accommodations to students with disabilities. Services include, but are not limited to, disability management, alternative testing, alternative media, accessible technology, transportation coordination, document conversion, note-taking assistance, and information and referral services. The DRC serves students with learning, psychological, physical, and sensory disabilities.

    Key Qualifications
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently set priorities, manage multiple work unit projects and assignments simultaneously, and anticipate and coordinate tasks through completion.
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area; ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of decisions on other areas.
    • Ability to take initiative and apply ingenuity and independent judgment to anticipate, analyze, and resolve operational and procedural problems in a timely manner; ability to develop, recommend, and evaluate solutions that are practical, thorough, and creative.
    • Demonstrated skill in the collection, analysis, and evaluation of data to develop valid conclusions and recommendations; ability to compile and present information clearly and concisely in reports, briefings, and other communications.
    • Ability to independently interpret and apply budget policies and procedures; ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate financial projections requiring inference, including tracking, comparing, and identifying expenditure trends.

    Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Five years of general office support or technical experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience)

    Salary and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Range: $52,404 - $66,456 Per Year

    Classification Range: $48,696 - $79,836 Per Year

    Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
