Job Title: Helper/Fire Watch
Department: Installation
Job Summary:
We are seeking a safety conscious Helper/Fire Watch to perform the duties of an industrial construction helper and fire watch during the operation of welding. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe operations of the duties listed below to support installation schedules, delivery objectives and quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols as set forth on each project and listed on each Job
- Safety Assessment (JSA) for the work at hand.
- To supply direct labor for the tasks of industrial installations to include but not limited to:
- Setting up work areas with tools and materials as asked for by the foreman
- Parts running
- Work area clean-up
- Tool clean-up
- Provide physical watch for fire and fire related issues during the process of welding and/or cutting of stainless-steel tubing within the confines of a work production area.
- Provide any and all documentation required to preform the duties of both a Helper and a Fire Watch.
Qualifications:
• Must be able to arrive at jobsite on time and be prepared to work
• Must be able to lift and carry for short distances forty (40) pounds
• Must be able to complete online orientation
• Must be able to communicate effectively with everyone on site
• Must be able to follow instructions quickly and safely
• Have and wear safety toe boots daily and abide by the clothing protocols for jobsite work.
• Must be willing and able to be trained and operate a forklift
