    What you'll do
    • Oversee the daily administrative operations of the Fire Prevention Division to ensure reliable front counter, phone, and email coverage for permits, inspections, and incident reports.
    • Coordinate staffing and adjust assignments during absences or modified duty while supervising and directing support staff.
    • Manage public-facing transactions, including incident report requests and payments,
    • Administer the permit workflow by routing requests to trained personnel, confirming all required information is complete, and maintaining accurate records, forms, and desk procedures.
    • Monitor prevention communication channels to reduce duplication and improve routing while serving as a primary administrative contact for customers and other departments.
    • Support budgeting and workload tracking through data collection and simple studies.
    • Serve as a primary administrative point of contact for customers and other departments on fire prevention related matters.

    • Permit and administrative processes run smoothly with minimal delays or errors.
    • Staff assignments are balanced and adjusted quickly to maintain coverage.
    • Records, reports, and procedures are up to date and consistently followed.
