Chief, Canada and Atlantic Approaches Security Cooperation Branch

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position: To serve as the Chief, Canada and Atlantic Approaches Security Cooperation Branch in the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) andthe United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), Strategy, Policy, and Plans Directorate (J5), Security Cooperation Division (J59).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of Canada and Atlantic Approaches Security Cooperation Branch, ensuring that Command security cooperation and partnership activities with Canada and The Bahamas complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets National and Command objectives.
  • Providing vision, direction, oversight and perspectives on strategic planning and leadership initiatives that shape future Canadian, Caribbean, and Atlantic Security Cooperation engagements.
  • Representing the Canada and Atlantic Security Cooperation Branch with a variety of national and international government and functional area organizations at international and national meetings, conferences, symposia, and site visits.
  • Providing technical and administrative supervision to the limited number of staff in the Canada and Atlantic Security Cooperation Branch.
