The ideal candidate will support the government customer in identifying and addressing insider threats throughout PFPA and WHS.*This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.Responsibilities Establish and maintain the ability to implement information-driven and risk-based detection, prevention, deterrence, response, and protection efforts to mitigate the insider threatUtilize and synchronize all appropriate DoD resources including, but not limited to, anti-terrorism (AT), law enforcement (LE), counterintelligence (CI), information assurance, privacy and civil liberties, and security to mitigate insider threats.Develop policy recommendations on mitigating insider threats to PFPA and provide general awareness on specific insider threat challenges facing the DoD.Provide personnel and information security expertise to integrate physical, information, User Activity Monitoring, and personnel security planning as the team develops the lifecycle concept, capability, policy, procedures governing the Insider Threat Hub.Review and evaluate reports of adverse information and recommend action.Create and provide written and verbal briefings, including recommendations on methods and initiatives to reduce risk and enhance security based on insider threat operations.Provide subject matter expertise in DoD directives and instructions involving security clearance process, specifically regarding the Adjudicative Guidelines. Provide subject matter expertise in a range of security disciplines, with an emphasis in personnel security.Provide input to leadership when vulnerabilities are identified.
