The ideal candidate will have 10-20 years of experience, an engineering degree, be a registered Professional Engineer, and possess the following abilities:Experience designing Fire Protection systems for Healthcare, Higher Education, and Laboratory projectsProficient in AutoCAD and RevitExperience in specification writingPerform field verification and take‑offs of existing systems for renovation projectsCoordinate with other disciplinesDevelop hydraulic calculations for sprinklers and standpipes using computer programsThorough knowledge of NFPA CodesBasic knowledge of Fire Protection systems including wet, dry and specialty systemsUnderstands work planning and manages the design process to the available hours in the work planMeets with clients and works with contractorsOversees deliverables to and from clientsExcellent organizational and communication skillsStrongly motivated, well organized, shows professional initiativeTakes ownership of assignments, works both independently and as part of the project teamPosition Requirements:PE License10-20 years of related experienceBR+A is a place to learn, grow, and work hard for clients that matter – and to be part of something bigger.
