Marine Technician
Location: Hagadone Marine Group
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $60k-$90k
Reports To: Production Manager / Shop Foreman

storage. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier customer service and expert technical support
to boaters throughout the region. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated
Marine Technician to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Marine Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing
a variety of marine vessels and engines, including outboard, inboard, and sterndrive systems.
This role also involves working with electrical systems, rigging, and trailer systems. The ideal
candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about marine technology and
customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
● Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on boats
● Perform routine maintenance including fluid changes, winterizing, and commissioning
● Install and troubleshoot marine electronics and navigation systems
● Conduct inspections and provide detailed repair recommendations
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
● Accurately document service work and communicate with the service team
● Availability to work weekends during peak season
● Must provide and maintain own set of tools
Qualifications:
● 3+ years of experience as a marine technician (manufacturer certifications a plus)
● Strong knowledge of marine engines including Mercury, Indmar, PCM, Malibu, Volvo
Penta, and MerCruiser
● Ability to read and interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics
● Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
● Valid driver's license required; boating experience preferred
