What You'll Do
Diagnostics & Repair
  • Diagnose and repair outboard engines, inboard systems, and marine components
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and major mechanical repairs
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and sea trials as required
  • Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and rigging issues
Rigging & Installation
  • Install outboard engines, controls, steering systems, and accessories
  • Perform complete repowers and new boat rigging
  • Install electronics, trolling motors, Power-Poles, and marine accessories
  • Ensure all installations meet manufacturer and dealership standards
Service Department Support
  • Accurately document findings, repairs, and labor operations
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding repair recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with shop workflow and support fellow technicians as needed
Customer Satisfaction
  • Perform quality work that exceeds customer expectations
  • Identify additional maintenance and repair opportunities
  • Support dealership goals through professionalism and attention to detail
Requirements
  • 3+ years of marine technician experience preferred
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing outboard engines
  • Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, or MerCruiser certifications preferred
  • MMI graduates encouraged to apply
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with rigging, repowers, and marine electronics is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license required
Schedule
  • Full-time position
  • Monday through Saturday schedule
  • Sundays always off
  • One weekday off
  • Overtime opportunities available during peak boating season
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing
  • Ability to work in a marine service shop environment
