This position is at the center of an ever changing, deadline driven environment and requires an individual with positive energy and real time problem solving skills who is capable of making appropriate decisions in a fast-paced environment.

This is a PM shift - the schedule is Monday - Friday 3pm - TBD (until the work is completed).

Role and Responsibilities:

• Plan, route and execute freight deliveries and pick-ups
• Maintain positive working relationships and a high level of engagement with JAF customers, Drivers, Customer Service and Carriers
• Make decisions that comply with policies and established guidelines
• Utilize software to enter, update and monitor freight/driver locations
• Maintain a high regard for safety and DOT compliance and regulations

Requirements:

• 3+ years of previous transportation dispatch experience, knowledge of local P&D operations
• Excellent geographical knowledge of Chicago 6 county area and southern Wisconsin
• Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office, Internet, TMS software
• Ability to support and work closely with Operations Coordinator
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to make critical decisions in a timely manner following company procedures and core values
