It's all here and it's exactly what going further is all about.Position SummaryAssigns motor vehicles and drivers to meet daily operational needs for freight transportation.Major Tasks and Responsibilities* Sources drivers and equipment to execute operations efficiently.* Compiles a list of available vehicles and assigns them appropriately.* Records driver staffing requirements for transportation runs.* Prepares a list of extra drivers available for assignments.* Tracks and records all line haul movement in transportation management applications.* Collaborates with dock operators to plan and move intermodal and purchase transportation loads in a timely manner.* Distributes the transmittal of load tenders and informational transfer to and with purchase transportation and intermodal providers.Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.* 5+ years of transportation or dispatch experience.* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and transportation management applications.BenefitsAt Saia, your success is our success!
