    Join the Eau Claire Fire Department to be part of a professional, inclusive, and progressive team. We are now accepting applications for current Firefighter openings and the hiring eligibility list. We are now accepting lateral transfers!

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.)
    • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
    • Be a U.S. citizen
    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Possess a valid CPAT certification at time of hire
    • Must be either Nationally Registered or State of Wisconsin EMT certified, and Firefighter I certified, OR be Nationally Registered or State of Wisconsin EMT and Paramedic certified at time of hire with the requirement to train within the department to Firefighter I and II certifications within one year after hire date
    • Candidate must be currently employed as a full-time career firefighter to be considered for a lateral transfer.

    Wage Range: $57,632.56 to $76,460.38* annual base pay; additional compensation includes holiday, paramedic, education, and specialty pays, plus excellent fringe benefits (including tuition reimbursement)!

    *2024 wages
