    Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

    As aSecurity Guard Armed Patrol Enhanced Part TimeinManassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

    Pay Rate: $27.31 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeSat05:00 AM - 05:00 PM

    How This Role Works:

    • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
    • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

    This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
    • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
    • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
    • Monitor entrances, sensitive areas, and/or equipment spaces for security-related concerns, challenging unauthorized persons when appropriate and reporting issues through established channels.
    • Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a professional armed presence, following post orders, and completing required reports related to daily activities, incidents, and/or observations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
    • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
    • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
