IT Support Specialist I

Position Description
The IT Support Specialist I's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of software applications, customized applications, and websites, etc.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provide customer service-focused, one-on-one end-user support and problem resolution both in person and over the phone.
  • Travel to clinic site locations using a personal vehicle during normal business hours as needed.
  • Provides basic hardware and software support and maintenance for the department or unit, including, but not limited to, desktop computers, printers, clinical equipment, and related technology.
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network system issues and performs technical duties necessary to support departmental and business operations.
  • Install & manage computer-based systems.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal four (4) years.
