Come be a part of something special, where you can have an impact and be valued just for being you!In addition to competitive pay, a discretionary annual bonus, and a supportive, team oriented culture, we offer an outstanding benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, sick time, unlimited vacation, and 401(k) with company match.OVERVIEWThe Global Immigration Advisor reports directly to a regional Immigration Manager and works as an integral member of the Global team assisting with case preparation and management for all clients in the designated region.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCounsel and respond to queries from human resources, managers and employees on all global immigration-related matters including visa processing, documentation, visa options, risks, timelines, etc.Research to obtain information commonly maintained by government entities; initiates contact and alerts Global team regarding potential process delays/problems/updatesPrepare application materials required for all services offered, including but not limited to: new documents (procurement), authenticated documents, consular visas, passports, work permits, residence permits, and extensions of sameMaintain relationships with BAL's global immigration service providers and ensure that employees are receiving quality service at all timesResponsible for accurately maintaining BAL's internal database to ensure all data is recorded and all appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner to pro-actively drive the case forward and keep the client and relevant BAL managers updated in real timeEvaluate cases, relay concerns, and proactively elevate to the appropriate BAL team member(s)/managersAdministrative duties associated with global immigration case management, including but not limited to:Process payments and/or reimbursementsProcess invoicesGenerate reportsMaintain required legal documentationComplete competence of case types previously handled and continually strives to advance and broaden knowledge base; demonstrate increasing levels of independence in case handlingCommunicate (written, spoken, and reading comprehension) at a professional level in English, and improve knowledge of other foreign languages necessary for caseworkComplete other related duties as assigned and support the firmSECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide support to other Global immigration teams at manager's discretion.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS0 – 2 years corporate immigration related experienceExposure to international corporate immigration preferredBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience requiredStrong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skillsAbility to exercise tact and diplomacy in all dealingsMust be able to multi-task and able to function effectively in a fast-paced environmentMust effectively participate in and facilitate in a oneBAL team environment; professional, respectful attitude towards all coworkersMust have excellent time management and prioritization skillsMust have keen attention to detail, produce error-free workMust think and act independently with professionalism, discretion and confidentialityExcellent English language skills, both verbal and writtenGood general computer knowledge and typing skills, including word-processing, email, and forms software; ability to learn new software/programsProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to travel within a limited radius to client site or consulatesPhysical RequirementsAble to maintain a sedentary position for up to 90% of the work dayAble to type and to grasp, grip, push and pull file drawers and doorsAble to walk and climb stairs or use elevator to coordinate with other departmentsAble to bend, stoop, kneel and/or stand to access files and documentsAble to lift up to 25 lbs. of files and/or boxesNote: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
