Job DescriptionAn employer is looking for a Firewall Lead to sit hybrid at the Pentagon. The candidate is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining enterprise firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies. This role oversees firewall performance and security monitoring, develops and enforces network security policies, conducts system audits to ensure compliance, and collaborates with IT, security, and network teams to integrate and support secure solutions. The lead serves as the primary point of contact for all firewall operations, projects, and assessments, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and effective troubleshooting with proper documentation. Additionally, this role provides leadership for personnel supporting the firewall task area, including coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, time validation, and reporting to the Government Task Lead and PMO. The position also drives continual service improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and support strategic program and business objectives.Compensation:$80/hr to $90/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
