DescriptionJob SummaryDesigners work as part of a multi-discipline team developing documentation of fire protection design during all phases of multiple simultaneous projects. Assignments will include performing code analysis, interpreting and preparing reports, completing calculations, and producing deliverable drawing sets consisting of life safety, fire alarm and suppression plans, riser diagrams, details and schedules.Job ResponsibilitiesSets up and manages Revit MEP modelsPerforms Revit modeling and detailingAssists to perform code researchPerforms cross-discipline discussions and coordination of work for system clash avoidancePrepares narratives, calculations, and drawing documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraintsAssists with addendums and RFIs by incorporating agreed upon changes in the contract documentsAttends internal meetings, assists to conduct site investigations, and performs contract administrationTravel for project-related activities may be requiredRequirementsRequired Education & ExperienceAssociates degree or Bachelor of Science in construction/engineering required5-10 years of experience, specialized experience in fire alarm or suppression is a plusProficiency with Revit MEP softwareDemonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards (IBC, NFPA, etc.)Strong understanding of construction methodsPreferred Education & ExperienceNICET and/or NFPPA certificationAbility to perform Revit model management activities on large, complex projectsDemonstrated passion for technology and its integration with the AEC industryStrong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriatelyStrong problem solving and motivation skillsPositive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-design discipline team.Salary range for this position varies between $60,000 – $90,000, depending upon applicable experience.BenefitsLEO A DALY offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance your health, financial stability, and work-life balance.
