    Job Description

    The Security Guard (Unarmed) is responsible for security services for securing and patrolling NATIVE HEALTH facilities. Under general supervision, responsible for guarding and monitoring all buildings and properties. This includes the disposal of trash and other debris daily. Maintain a visible presence in both interior and exterior to prevent theft, acts of vandalism, and property destruction. This position assists with maintaining and stocking agency materials at each site daily. Work within a team to address property needs, maintenance, and daily upkeep. This position requires vigilant observation, quick response, and adherence to established security protocols.

    9. Must be professional in demeanor, dress, and presentation.
    10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    11. Physical fitness to perform patrol duties.
    12. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
    13. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
    14. Primarily outdoors, the ability to work in various weather conditions.
    15. Have stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
    16. Clear verbal communication skills to effectively convey instructions and coordinate tasks with other team members.
    17. Strong understanding of private property laws and trespassing laws.

    Qualifications

    1. Must possess a High School Diploma or a GED equivalent
    2. Possession of a Security Guard Card or willingness to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
    3. Prior security experience preferred.
    4. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
    5. OSHA training is required annually.

    Standard Employment Requirements:

    1. Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona driver's license (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from out-of-state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona driver's license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH's liability auto policy.
    2. Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment and retain a valid card while employed with NATIVE HEALTH.
    3. Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
    4. Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
    5. Must have a current (within 12 months) Tuberculosis (TB) skin report upon employment and provide an annual update.
    6. Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within (90) calendar days of employment and maintain certification during employment.
